Support & FAQ

Specifications, service coverage, warranty terms and ordering — the questions buyers ask before they commit, answered without hedging.

P40

How thick can the P40 weld?

It depends on material and joint type, but as a working rule the P40 handles the 0.5–4 mm range that most sheet-metal and stainless fabrication sits in. Deep single-pass penetration on 6–7 mm plate is the job of the water-cooled WSH07T-CW, not this machine. Send us your thickness and joint drawing and we will tell you honestly whether the P40 is the right unit.

What materials can it weld?

Stainless steel, carbon steel, galvanised steel, aluminium and copper are all weldable with the appropriate parameter set and, where needed, filler wire. Two practical caveats: coated and galvanised stock needs the coating cleaned back at the seam, and copper is weldable as sheet or plate but copper wire is not supported as filler on this platform.

Is it really portable?

The source is under 29 kg and the torch under 480 g, and because the outdoor power supply and gas cylinder travel with the system you can weld in a yard, on a mezzanine or at a customer site without hunting for a socket and a bottle. It is one-person portable, not pocket-portable — treat it as a two-wheel trolley load, not a suitcase.

What certifications does it have?

PLD, CE, FCC, FDA, MD, 3C and NAL. We send the actual certificate documents on request rather than asking you to trust a row of badges.

How do I get a quote?

Message us on WhatsApp at +86 137 0255 6158 with the material, thickness and a photo of the joint. You get a price, a lead time and a shipping estimate in the same conversation — we do not run an online checkout for industrial equipment.

Does it come with training and support?

Yes. We commission remotely over video, walk your operator through the 152 presets for your materials, and stay reachable on WhatsApp for parameter questions. Consumables — protective lenses, nozzles, filler wire — ship from Guangzhou on a repeat basis.

What is the warranty?

Twelve months on the machine, optical consumables excluded. One exclusion worth knowing before you buy: faults caused by arc-welding interference on the same site are not covered, so if you run TIG or MIG next to the laser, tell us at order stage and we will advise on separation and grounding.

Zu Jin series

Which model for 3 mm stainless steel?

Two answers depending on where you weld. In a fixed cell, the WSH03T-CW — water-cooled, 20 μm core, tightest spot. If you weld on site or move between jobs, the WSH03T-MA — air-cooled, single-phase, 60 kg, one person can load it.

Air-cooled or water-cooled?

Air-cooled buys mobility and single-phase power; you pay for it with a 35 °C ambient ceiling and less thermal headroom on long shifts. Water-cooled buys continuous duty and deeper penetration; you pay with a chiller, more weight, and a fixed position. If the machine will move more than twice a week, take air-cooled. If it will run eight hours a day in one place, take water-cooled.

Is it really 5–10× faster than TIG?

That figure comes from thin-sheet comparisons and it is not a universal law. What we will put our name to is the process window: travel speed of roughly 0–125 mm/s on 0.4–4 mm material. Multiply your own seam length by that and you get your own number. On 3 mm stainless a laser pass typically beats TIG on arc time, and beats it by much more once you count grinding — but on 0.8 mm cosmetic work TIG still has the better finish.

What materials can the Zu Jin series weld?

Stainless, carbon steel, galvanised steel, aluminium and copper. Galvanised and coated stock needs the coating removed at the seam. Copper is supported as base material, not as filler wire.

How long is the warranty and what does it exclude?

Twelve months, optical consumables excluded. Failures caused by arc-welding interference on the same site are excluded — a real risk, because most buyers of a laser welder are also TIG users. Plan your grounding and physical separation accordingly.

Is there service in my country?

On-site service through the Han's Laser network covers the United States, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, the Philippines and Vietnam. Everywhere else we support remotely — video diagnosis, parameter review, and parts by express from Guangzhou. We would rather tell you this up front than promise a service visit we cannot deliver.

J20H-SCII

How long does the battery last?

Roughly half a shift on a full charge, with a ≥14.5 Ah pack. Real runtime depends on how dense your marking is — a small QR code draws far less than a filled logo. Plan for a lunchtime charge or a spare battery if the operator marks continuously.

Can it mark on vertical surfaces?

Yes, and this is the single biggest reason to buy it. The head weighs about a kilogram, so an operator can hold it against a rack upright, a pipe or a machine frame and mark in place. Desktop markers require the part to come to them, which on installed steel usually means not marking at all.

Does it have CE certification?

Not at present. CE certification can be arranged for volume orders — tell us quantity and destination country at enquiry and we will confirm what is possible and at what cost.

What can it mark, and how deep?

Steel, stainless, aluminium, brass, anodised and most coated metals, plus many plastics. Depth is shallow — this is a marking and coding tool at 20 W, not an engraver. For deep engraving on tool steel you want more power.

Does the operator need a computer?

No. The 8-inch Linux touchscreen runs the marking software standalone. You load the file by USB and mark from the console.

How do I get a quote?

WhatsApp +86 137 0255 6158 with the material, what you need to mark (text, QR, logo) and roughly how many parts per day. We will confirm the configuration, price and lead time in the same conversation.

J20-SC

What is the difference between the J20-SC and the J20H-SCII?

Power source, weight and field size. The SCII is battery-powered, 6 kg total with a 1 kg gun and a 50×50 mm field — built to travel. The J20-SC is mains-powered, 25 kg in a trolley, with an 80×80 or 120×120 mm field and a 13.3-inch Windows console — built for a bench with more coverage.

What is the marking field?

80 × 80 mm as standard, or 120 × 120 mm as the larger option. Choose by the largest single graphic you need in one pass; anything bigger gets split, which costs time and alignment.

Does it need special power or air?

No. It draws 500 W or less from an ordinary socket. No three-phase, no compressed air, no external chiller.

Can it be moved between workstations?

Yes — the whole system is a 25 kg wheeled case. One person rolls it. That is mobility of a different kind from the SCII: it moves between benches rather than travelling to site.

How do I get a quote?

Message +86 137 0255 6158 on WhatsApp with the material, the field size you need and what you are marking. We quote both configurations so you can compare.

Ordering, shipping and service

Are you an authorized Han's Laser distributor?

Yes. Canton Laser is an authorized distributor of Han's Laser handheld laser equipment — welding and marking. Han's Laser is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange as 002008. We sell and support the handheld range; we do not manufacture it, and we will not pretend otherwise.

How do I get a price?

WhatsApp +86 137 0255 6158. We quote individually because configuration, destination and quantity change the number, and because publishing list prices for industrial equipment creates more arguments than it settles. You get price, lead time and shipping estimate in the same conversation.

Do you ship to my country?

We ship worldwide from Guangzhou. Duty, VAT and import clearance are the buyer's responsibility unless we quote DDP explicitly in writing. Ask us for an Incoterm — we will state it clearly rather than leaving it to be discovered at customs.

What is the warranty?

Twelve months on the machine, optical consumables excluded. Faults caused by arc-welding interference on the same site are excluded — if you run TIG or MIG nearby, tell us before ordering so we can advise on grounding and separation.

Where do you provide on-site service?

Through the Han's Laser service network: United States, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, the Philippines and Vietnam. Outside those countries we support remotely — video diagnosis, parameter review and parts by express from Guangzhou. We would rather set that expectation now than disappoint you in month seven.

What about training?

Remote commissioning over video, with your operator at the machine. We walk through the preset library for your materials, set a baseline parameter set, and stay reachable on WhatsApp for the questions that only appear in week three.

How long is lead time?

Stock models typically ship within days of payment clearing; configured or high-power models take longer. We confirm the exact lead time against your model and destination in the quotation — not as a hopeful range.

Can I buy consumables separately?

Yes, and you should plan to. Protective lenses, copper nozzles, filler wire and shielding gas are consumables, not spare parts. See the consumables page for intervals and ordering.

Do you sell used machines?

No. New equipment only, with the manufacturer's documentation. That keeps the warranty and the certification trail intact.

Question not answered here?

Ask it on WhatsApp. If we do not know, we will say so and go and find out — that is faster than a guess formatted as a datasheet.
