J20H-SCII — battery-powered handheld laser marker

No outlet. No desktop. Pick it up, walk to the workpiece, and mark it where it stands.

In one paragraph

What the J20H-SCII actually is

The J20H-SCII is a battery-powered handheld fibre laser marking machine from Han's Laser: 20 W at 1064 nm, a battery of at least 14.5 Ah for roughly half a shift of marking, a total weight of 6 kg or less, a 1 kg handheld head, a 50×50 mm marking field and an 8-inch Linux touchscreen — no laptop required.

Core features

Built around one idea: the machine goes to the part

01

Battery powered, ≥14.5 Ah

Half a shift of marking on one charge, and no cable dragging across the shop floor. Charge it on a normal socket between jobs.

02

≤6 kg total, ≤1 kg in the hand

The heavy part stays down. What you lift is the gun, at about a kilogram — the difference between marking one rack and marking a warehouse of racks.

03

50×50 mm field

Right-sized for serial numbers, QR codes, date codes, material grades and small logos on metal parts and assemblies.

04

8-inch Linux touchscreen

Type the code on the console, no laptop, no dongle, no Windows licence to manage on the shop floor.

05

Marks on vertical and overhead surfaces

Because the unit comes to the part, you can mark a beam, a pipe, a rack upright or a machine frame in place — the job a desktop marker physically cannot do.

06

IP51, air-cooled, 1064 nm

Sealed against dust and dripping water, fan-cooled, and marking on the wavelengths that work on steel, aluminium, brass and most coated metals.

Know before you buy

  • 20 W is an entry-level power. Marking, coding, serial numbers and shallow engraving: yes. Deep engraving, cutting, or removing material in multiple passes: no. If that is your job, look at the J20-SC, not this unit.
  • 50 × 50 mm is a small field. Good for codes and small logos. A 120 mm logo has to be marked in sections, with the alignment work that implies.
  • No CE certification at present. If you need CE marking for resale inside the EU, certification can be arranged for volume orders — tell us the quantity and destination at enquiry stage.
  • The battery covers roughly half a shift. Not a full day. If you mark all day, plan a second battery or a charging window at lunch.
  • It is a marking tool, not a welding tool. No filler, no penetration, no structural joint.

FAQ

J20H-SCII questions

How long does the battery last?

Roughly half a shift on a full charge, with a ≥14.5 Ah pack. Real runtime depends on how dense your marking is — a small QR code draws far less than a filled logo. Plan for a lunchtime charge or a spare battery if the operator marks continuously.

Can it mark on vertical surfaces?

Yes, and this is the single biggest reason to buy it. The head weighs about a kilogram, so an operator can hold it against a rack upright, a pipe or a machine frame and mark in place. Desktop markers require the part to come to them, which on installed steel usually means not marking at all.

Does it have CE certification?

Not at present. CE certification can be arranged for volume orders — tell us quantity and destination country at enquiry and we will confirm what is possible and at what cost.

What can it mark, and how deep?

Steel, stainless, aluminium, brass, anodised and most coated metals, plus many plastics. Depth is shallow — this is a marking and coding tool at 20 W, not an engraver. For deep engraving on tool steel you want more power.

Does the operator need a computer?

No. The 8-inch Linux touchscreen runs the marking software standalone. You load the file by USB and mark from the console.

How do I get a quote?

WhatsApp +86 137 0255 6158 with the material, what you need to mark (text, QR, logo) and roughly how many parts per day. We will confirm the configuration, price and lead time in the same conversation.

Need a bigger field or more power?

The J20-SC gives you 80×80 or 120×120 mm and a 13.3-inch Windows console, at the cost of a cable and a trolley.
