Zu Jin series — seven handheld laser welders, one selection table
Seven models, one page. Pick your welder by the thickness you weld — not by the number on the datasheet.
Selection table
Pick by the thickness you weld
Fibre core diameter is the column most buyers skip and the one that decides your seam width. 20 μm gives the tightest spot, 50 μm the deepest penetration.
| Model | Cooling | Max penetration | Fibre core | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WSH03T-MA | Air-cooled | ≈ 3 mm | 25 μm | You weld on site and need single-phase power. 60 kg, one person, a van. The mobile default. |
| WSH03T-CW | Water-cooled | 3 mm | 20 μm | Fixed workstation, thin stainless. The 20 μm core gives the tightest spot of the family. |
| WSH04T-CW | Water-cooled | 4 mm | 20 μm | The all-rounder. Most sheet-metal shops that weld 1–4 mm land here. |
| WSH05T-CW | Water-cooled | 5 mm | 30 μm | Mid-plate work where 4 mm occasionally is not enough — tanks, frames, thick brackets. |
| WSH07T-CW | Water-cooled | 7 mm | 50 μm | Heavy plate and structural work. Needs three-phase 380 V and 180 kg of floor space. |
| WSH150Q-MA | Pulsed, air-cooled | Precision, thin | 50 μm | Thin precision parts where heat input must stay minimal. Chinese-language UI only. |
| WSH150ST-MA | Pulsed + galvo | Batch precision | 50 μm | Repetitive small parts marked or welded in batches. Chinese-language UI only. |
Penetration figures are per the manufacturer's parameter table and assume the matching fibre core and a clean, well-fitted joint. Real penetration on your parts depends on gap, material grade and gas — ask for a sample weld.

What decides it
Four variables, in order of importance
Air or water, decided by where you work
The air-cooled WSH03T-MA runs on single-phase power and moves between sites. Water-cooled units hold tighter thermal margins for all-day production in one place.
Fibre core matched to the job
20 μm for the tightest spot and cleanest thin-sheet seam, 25–30 μm for general work, 50 μm for deep penetration and pulsed models. Core diameter is the number most buyers never ask about — it decides your seam width.
One torch, filler wire included
Handheld welding with wire feed does the gap-bridging that plain autogenous laser welding cannot. That is what makes it usable on real fabricated parts instead of perfect test coupons.
Consumables you can actually resupply
Protective lenses, copper nozzles, filler wire and shielding gas are stocked and shipped on a repeat schedule. The machine is bought once; the consumables are what keep it running.
Read this before you pick a model
- The WSH07T-CW needs three-phase 380 V and weighs 180 kg. If your shop only has single-phase power, this model is not a stretch — it is a different electrical installation. Check your supply before you fall in love with 7 mm.
- Air-cooled units have a working-temperature ceiling of 35 °C. In a hot climate, in an unshaded yard, in summer, expect derating. Water-cooled is the safer choice for continuous duty in the Gulf or Southeast Asia.
- Power stability is specified under 3%. We quote the number in the parameter table, not the marketing number.
- Copper is weldable; copper filler wire is not supported. If your process needs copper wire, tell us before ordering.
- The two pulsed models ship with a Chinese-language interface. They are excellent machines for the right buyer, but not for an operator who only reads English.
- Nozzle and lens life is duty-dependent. Manual figures are indicative; a shop welding 8 hours a day will consume lenses far faster than one welding two hours a week.
Certification
What is documented
Management-system certificates apply to the manufacturer. Product-level CE and FDA documentation for the specific model you order is sent with the quotation.
Running costs
Consumables are the real cost
Protective lenses are the real running cost. Inspect daily, replace when spatter-damaged — under normal duty a lens lasts around three months, a copper nozzle around six. We supply both continuously.

Zu Jin series questions
Which model for 3 mm stainless steel?
Two answers depending on where you weld. In a fixed cell, the WSH03T-CW — water-cooled, 20 μm core, tightest spot. If you weld on site or move between jobs, the WSH03T-MA — air-cooled, single-phase, 60 kg, one person can load it.
Air-cooled or water-cooled?
Air-cooled buys mobility and single-phase power; you pay for it with a 35 °C ambient ceiling and less thermal headroom on long shifts. Water-cooled buys continuous duty and deeper penetration; you pay with a chiller, more weight, and a fixed position. If the machine will move more than twice a week, take air-cooled. If it will run eight hours a day in one place, take water-cooled.
Is it really 5–10× faster than TIG?
That figure comes from thin-sheet comparisons and it is not a universal law. What we will put our name to is the process window: travel speed of roughly 0–125 mm/s on 0.4–4 mm material. Multiply your own seam length by that and you get your own number. On 3 mm stainless a laser pass typically beats TIG on arc time, and beats it by much more once you count grinding — but on 0.8 mm cosmetic work TIG still has the better finish.
What materials can the Zu Jin series weld?
Stainless, carbon steel, galvanised steel, aluminium and copper. Galvanised and coated stock needs the coating removed at the seam. Copper is supported as base material, not as filler wire.
How long is the warranty and what does it exclude?
Twelve months, optical consumables excluded. Failures caused by arc-welding interference on the same site are excluded — a real risk, because most buyers of a laser welder are also TIG users. Plan your grounding and physical separation accordingly.
Is there service in my country?
On-site service through the Han's Laser network covers the United States, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, the Philippines and Vietnam. Everywhere else we support remotely — video diagnosis, parameter review, and parts by express from Guangzhou. We would rather tell you this up front than promise a service visit we cannot deliver.
Tell us your thickness on WhatsApp
One number and one material is enough for us to name a model. If two models are close, we will explain the trade rather than upsell.
