Laser solutions for warehouse and logistics
Asset numbers and location codes marked into installed racking and steel assets — no cable, no shutdown, no dismantling.

The job
Warehouse & Logistics
Every warehouse has the same asset-identification problem: thousands of steel items — racking uprights, beams, pallets, returnable containers, trolleys — that need an asset number, a location code or a QR label, and that were installed years ago and are not coming down. Stickers peel, paint fades, tags get knocked off. A battery-powered handheld marker solves this by going to the asset: an operator walks the aisle, holds a one-kilogram head against the upright and marks directly into the steel. No cable, no extension lead, no shutting the aisle, no disassembly. Half a shift of marking per charge is normally a full aisle run; the 50 × 50 mm field is sized for codes rather than signage, which is the right trade for this job.
- Asset numbers and location codes marked into steel, permanently
- Works at height and in aisles without shutting operations
- ≤6 kg total, ≤1 kg head — one operator, one hand
- Battery covers roughly half a shift, so a morning or an afternoon run

J20H-SCII is the whole answer here. If you also mark flat stock on a bench all day, add a J20-SC.

A photo of the joint, the material grade and the thickness is enough for a first answer. For marking, a photo of the surface and the code you need. No drawings required to start.
