Laser solutions for automotive parts
Two jobs, two machines: brackets and frames welded in the 1–4 mm band, part numbers and 2D codes marked on finished components.

The job
Automotive Parts
Automotive supply work splits into two jobs that rarely share equipment. The first is joining: brackets, exhaust sections, seat frames, chassis reinforcement — mild and stainless steel in the 1–4 mm band, where a handheld laser gives a repeatable seam with a heat-affected zone narrow enough to protect adjacent coatings. The second is traceability: part numbers, batch codes, date codes and 2D codes that have to be legible for the life of the vehicle and applied to parts that are already built and often already installed. That is exactly the split between the P40 on the welding side and the battery-powered J20H-SCII on the marking side — one machine per problem, no fixed cell required.
- 1–4 mm mild and stainless brackets, frames and exhaust sections
- Clean seams beside coatings and heat-sensitive assemblies
- Part and batch codes marked on finished or installed components
- Battery marker reaches parts that never leave the fixture

What we would put on this job
P40 for welding cells; J20H-SCII for traceability marking anywhere on the line.

A photo of the joint, the material grade and the thickness is enough for a first answer. For marking, a photo of the surface and the code you need. No drawings required to start.
